The Clipse are Back by “Popular Demand (Popeyes)” (Listen & Download)

I'm not really sure how to write this without making a bad "back by popular demand" pun, so I'll just keep it simple: The Clipse have a new single, it's called "Popular Demand (Popeyes)", it features some classically off-kilter and electronic production from The Neptunes, a verse Cam'ron and one hilarious Popeye's french fries and fried chicken reference. As opposed to some of their recently released more radio-oriented singles, "Popular Demand" has some grit to it, though frankly not as much as I'd like. If that doesn't make you want to listen, I don't know what's wrong with you.
As previously promised by Pusha-T himself, the Clipse's new album "Till the Casket Drops" is set to be released on December 8.

I'll be honest - it took me a little while to really dig this track, but now I'm completely sold. I'd still prefer some grittier work from the Clipse, but this might be their best radio release in a long time. |
