Youngs, the lyrically lifted emcee who recently took us on a
tour of his Normal hometown, is back in our headphones today with his latest track "
Rhymin". Produced by
SKETCH, who flips a soft rock ballad into a hip-hop cruiser (more on that later), "Rhymin" leaked from the carefully guarded Young catalog, but he decided to make the best of a leaked situation and turn "Rhymin" into an official single. Lucky us. Oh, and you might want to have a snack before bumping this because I guarantee it will make you hungry: "See none other, my margarine flows nuts, peanut butter" / "I'm on that holy cow, before I play the stakes (steaks), before I eat a rapper, I say amazing grace."
"Rhymin" is off Youngs' "Fountain of Youth II" mixtape, which isn't due to drop till 2011. I told you it was a leak.
And because RefinedHype is committed to giving you more, and because I can work Google like Tiger Woods works a pornstar, I tracked down where the sample is from. How do we feel about Freshly Ground's '
I'd Like"?
