Wale Loves an “Ambitious Girl” (Listen & Download)

Apparently a lot of rappers are falling all over themselves to pay for thousand dollar hand bags. Why? I don't know. I'd much rather have an "Ambitious Girl" who can take care of her own, and Wale agrees with me. On his new mixtape track, Waleezy gets on his spoken word tip and lays down an anthem to independent women that's as quality as "Independent" was annoying.

It's not an incredible track, but between this and yesterday's "Eyes of the Tiger" I'm already starting to think that his upcoming mixtape, "More About Nothing", might be better than "Attention Deficit". We'll find out for sure on August 3.

"I'm trying to fuck the shit out of your aspirations." Ah yeah Wale, whisper that sweetly in her ear. That line works every time.

tdotraza	It's a spoken word piece; it's not supposed to be a complete song. And More About Nothing is a mixtape, so you can't expect the same levels of execution.

Nathan S.	I couldn't disagree more @littleitaly. This is more spoken word, so I completely understand if you're not feeling it, but "Eyes of the Tiger" was absolutely ill, and even the songs that didn't make the cut, like "Workin", are ill. This sounds like to me like it's shaping up to be a monster.
