from the moment it happened to this day and beyond, I totally believe MTV set up all the Kanye West/Taylor Swift thing. MTV is so fake. Especially the award shows. Everything is set up like a big commercial. Kayne did Taylor A HUGE FAVOR!!! ask anybody who complained about Kanye that night, "Who won Best Male Video?" "Who won Best Rock Video?" NOBODY KNOWS... because Kanye turned Taylor into gold. Better questions: how many non-country music fans knew anyting about Taylor Swift before Kanye turned her into gold? Kanye is the man. |

Kanye's known for voicing his opinion. His means of operation weren't the greatest, but I don't see how people can call him an asshole for it. This is the same guy who's given away his OWN awards (note: plural). And Taylor's video? It's not that great. It seems like an illogical jump just to struggle the man. Calling Kanye an arrogant douchebag is an honest trend. Most of these people lack even basic knowledge of the man. It's really just rapper and "everyone says he's an ass". And the amount of people that still blindly go around claiming Kanye "stole" from Daft Punk and now King Crimson. Sure is theft when Daft Punk joins you on stage to perform it, and they openly listen to each other's music. In the end, the true assholes were Jay Leno and, yes, even Obama, for their statements. Jay Leno deserves all of the hatred he's getting now for what he asked Kanye. That's just rude, there's nothing "deserved" about it. And I remember that Obama said he has Kanye on his iPod, and invited him for a Democrat campaign. In conclusion this is a great article, a lot of which I agree with. |

That's what happens when fans try to understand the person behind the artist... I would much, MUCH rather NEVER, ever meet an artist I look up to than to meet them, get to know them and then become disappointed when they show their humanity and not some god-like super power. Sometimes, things look more beautiful from the outside and from far away, because the imperfections are barely visible. |

I'm sorry. I'm a huge Kanye fan. But unless Taylor Swift did something to him or it was planned from the jump, there is no way Kanye jumping on stage and taking her limelight was a justifiable move. He could have easily voiced his opinion after the show or something. |

Best article I have ever read. Can't believe that a makeawish kid ruined everything for that man. Idk how Kanye does it, I sure as hell couldn't live a day in his shoes neither could any one else. Frankly, I don't think none of us deserve to be. |

Great article!! provided a lot of insight. I am a big kanye fan ( in the true sense of the word) & have always defended him among my mates just because his music is brilliant. And things seen from a mile arent always the same up close. thanks for a great article! |

I am a huge kanye fan, and i absolutely love this article. I do not always know his reasoning for things, but i do know that he is a musical genius and deals with a lot of different things like celebrities do. Thx for the great insight. |

Wow man, just wow. You fucking inspired me to make an account for this. I love Kanye and I fucking gained so much perspective. I'm going to be honest, I was one of those 'cats' who was crying for Power to be leaked that day we heard a snippet of it. The instant it leaked though, I felt guilty right away. This is my boy lol my fucking favorite artist and his own fans are messing him up, especially during a time when he probably needed his fans the most. Ye wanted to surprise us with this DOPE ass performance with this amazing track and we fucked it up. Power - a brilliant track - has that 'blah' affect to it now. I still know it will blow up, but we ruined Kanye's 'comeback'. And FUCK DJ Carnage, that's just retarded. I'm sorry but I feel when Kanye releases a song, it's different than Eminem or Wayne or anyone, it's an artist who slept in the studio who doesn't stop until he will be remembered (and he WILL be remembered) as one of the best. No lie, I'm not doing anything to harm his music again. I want Ye to come back and just BLOW up, a man with so much talent and honesty, it's impossible to find in the industry today. I hope Kanye is alright after this and had a back up (even though he really shouldn't have one). I still know Kanye is going to come back in a HUGE way and just mind fuck all his fans again like he did the past 4 times. I'm ready Ye, fucking change the game again homie!! |

Kanye's music isn't just 'music' to me. His music saved my fucking life. The days I spent alone when my dad left and I was living in a broke ass basement with my mom was unbearable at times, but I just used to throw on Kanye tracks and they helped me through man. He's not your average rapper, he's real, relatable, and touches upon human emotions like no other artist. I defend him any chance I get and that's why I go nuts when Ye goes into hiding, but fuck it. Ye's gonna come back and straight RUUUN this, I know it. |

Wow I don't think this article is as great as you guys make it and I read it twice. I do think make a wish kid was dead wrong for taking something that should have been special and fucking it up. But as far as not being a "Real" fan because you watch/ pass along a you tube video or leaked song? I don't know if i agree with that one because, if that's so, no one in here can be considered a true fan of anyone. Because I pretty sure that all of us have indulged in some leaked music or youtube videos. Matter of fact, the very site you write for fully indulges in this (I could be wrong but I believe the video in question was posted on here.) So I don't think your argument has a lot of ground. |

wow to the article and a lot of comments here. i feel like the author is jus tryin give everyone a guilt trip on Kanye's behalf. these things happen to every hip hop artist, not jus Kanye. it does suck that this stuff happens, but dont act like everyone picks on Kanye wen he repeatedly gives them a reason to cuz of his lack of courtesy and professionalism. u dont see ppl talkin shit bout Jay-Z and his actions, but thats cuz he doesnt do anything to harm others or bring negative publicity to himself. u guys r sayin that everything is ruined for him....???? wat???? he is one of the most talented musicians in the world. i think he can come up w/sum other brilliant shit that everyone will love. wat bout the ppl from make-a-wish foundation who actually have nothing? i'd say that they have a lot harder time dealing with their lives than Kanye does wen a song of his gets leaked. its not a bad article and Kanye is great, but cmon. |
