Jason James & Rodney Hazard Enter the “Marvelous World of Color” (Mixtape Listen & Download)

Synesthesia - A (natural) conditions where the senses blur. People see sounds, hear colors, taste words. After some well-deserved hype over the last couple weeks, Jason James (a.k.a. Web) and Rodney Hazard (a.k.a. I.D.E.A.), also knows as "God's Favorites", also known as Vancouver's best, are here to deliver their synesthesiatic new mixalbum, "Marvelous World of Color". Did that sounds kind of deep and strange? Well good then, cause this project is kind of deep and strange.

James handles mix duties throughout, delivering some intensely crafted rhymes, and Hazard delivers a clinic in the "less is more" approach to beatmaking, giving the album a sparse, hazy sound. You may love it, you may hate it, but I guarantee you haven't heard anything like it, and in the age of copy and paste rappers, James & Hazard deserve some serious respect for their originality.
