KingPen Slim The Way You Move
It's dope to watch a talented rapper build some serious momentum, and anyone who keeps their eyes and ears locked the hip-hop internets has surely begun to come across the name KingPen Slim more and more often. Having first hit our pages alongside Jim Jones for the cinematic "Life Is a Movie", Slim is back with his new single "The Way You Move" (no, not that "The Way You Move") and the result is one of the more enjoyable cuts we've ever heard from the DMV native. With Team Demo laying down a soulful, head-nodding beat at fellow DMVers Wale, STS and "The Letterman" Phil Ade throwing down on the mic alongside Slim, "The Way You Move" is a must listen.

"The Way You Move" is coming off "The Beam Up 2: So Cinematic", available for free August 30th at the mothership, and will feature guest appearances from Jim Jones, Malice (The Clipse), Oddisee, the emcees above and many others. Mark your calendars.

The DMV's absolutely catapulted into the forefront of hip-hop in the last year. They still need a few more acts to really make it big, right now it's still just Wale, before they can be up there with the ATLs and CHIs of the world, but they're definitely on the come up.
