ok, so premier is one of the best producers of all time, but his beats have become increasingly formulaic over 2+ years. Heres the formula: Quick taps on the 1/4 count Hard snare on the 1 count 2 muffled instrumental samples, one following the other - usually the first one's sound clashes with the second Scratching up a nas sample on the chorus 90% of his beats follow some variation of this. This one actually sounds a little different, but its def not breaking new ground. Not feeling it. |

Damn, @d-mac just broke it the f down. I see what he's saying, but I guess I'm in the "I don't care if it sounds like his old stuff because I love his old stuff" camp. Kind of like how I never get tired of Snickers, even though they've tasted the same since I was a kid. Did that make any sense? |

I really think Joell is one of the best in the game right now, but he is better than this. He seemed a little off to me, he can go much harder. |
