C-Grade XXL Freshman, Atlantic Records signee and ATL Brave Donnis is gearing up to have a very, very big June. In addition to his official debut EP Donnis will also be dropping his new mixtape, the cleverly titled "Fashionably Late". Today we got our first taste of the mixtape's quality with "Yup", and I have to say, so far, so good. Producer Needlz puts down a synth-heavy beat that bangs, and Donnis does nothing but "thank God and piss excellence" (his words not mine). You know I have to keep it real; I've heard better from Donnis, but I'll take this any day over 90% of the hot garbage I get flooded with everyday. Plus bonus points for being the first rapper in ten years to use a Kurt Loder reference. Props.

Oh, and I'd give him a hard time about the Rihanna sample, but instead of called the "yep, you know this" played out we'll just go with fashionably late. "Fashioanly Late" and the EP drop on June 22. Mark you calendars.

UPDATE: I can't believe I forgot to mention that time Donnis Chuck Norrised a stage crasher. One of the best on stage beatdowns ever. I could watch that shit all day.
