Yeah, you fucking read that right. I was going to post the new Trey Songz and Drake joint (lord forbid we went 24 hours without a new Drizzy track) but I'm pulling a complete 180 and instead posting this rare and unbelievably random remix spotted on the same Hype Men podcast that sparked my "White on White Hate" article. Will Smith. Jermaine Dupri. Big Pun. R.O.C.Cam’ron. "Gettin Jiggy Wit' It (So So Def Remix)". Yep, it happened.
As a small piece of background, while Will is now known as a movie star and maker of laughably soft music (a.k.a. "Jiggy"), back in the day he was a legitimately talented and respected emcee, so much so that he was tight with several prominent rappers and also had enough funds that they were willing to ghostwrite for him, like Nas did for "Jiggy". * Pause to let everyone who didn't know Nas wrote Will's verses on "Jiggy" recover * That doesn't really explain why three of the more street rappers to ever grab a mix agreed to rhyme on this remix, but it helps a little. You know what, you're just going to have to listen. It really can't be explained.
Here's the original for compare and contrast purposes. Download link and the remix are below:
