Big Boi Declares Victory on “General Patton” (Listen & Download)

Sweet baby jesus. I was pretty stoked to hear Big Boi's new album, the fantastically titled "Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty", when "Shutterbug" dropped, but now? Now that his new cut "General Patton" has leaked? Now I'm going to be waiting for it like the second coming of Christ. To start things off J Beatz puts together an epically large beat that makes other bangers sound like "California Gurls", and while most other emcees would get drowned out by a beat this huge, Big Boi commands it with skill. Oh, and some dude named Big Rube says some stuff too.

Could "Son of Chico Dusty" be a classic? All signs point to yes. We'll find out for sure on July 6.

(And because, just like "Albert Anastasia", at least half the people who hear this slept through history class and have no idea who General Patton was, Patton was a World War II general who was well known for his general bad-assery; he once slapped a soldier he thought was a coward.)
