Regular readers should know exactly what I'm about to write:
Asher Roth confuses the bejeezus out of me. After he dropped his debut album "Asleep in the Bread Aisle" I was ready to write him off as a failed experiment, but then over the last few months he'd
occasionally drop a track that would suddenly have me believe that he had some serious skill. Unfortunately, I don't think his new mixtape "Seared Foie Gras With Quince and Cranberry" is going to do much to settle the debate. Frankly, I was bored by parts of it, and had other parts on repeat. The debate continues.
Oh, and as I mocked some blogs for writing when "Hot Wangz" dropped, Asher clearly didn't get original production from Kanye, J Dilla, will.i.am, etc. These are almost all essentially freestyles. Relax people.
