Lookout Crocs, Adidas Is Dishing Out A Little Competition With Their Adidas Beachstar Sandal (Pics)

Plenty of sneaker brands have released sandals before, but I don't think I've ever seen them release anything like this. The Adidas Beachstar Sandal is much like a cross between a pair of Crocs and a pair of Adidas Superstars. I actually do think it's a pretty cool concept though, creating a sandal that looks exactly like a pair of sneakers. Plenty of guys walk around with pterodactyl claws as feet so this is perfect for them, you get the ventilation of a sandal and at the same time you're also able to keep your claws at bay.

Although the Adidas Beachstar Sandal does provide about 50 or so holes for ventilation I can't help but wonder how cool your feet are gonna be in 90-degree weather when they're covered in plastic. Your best bet is to probably save these bad boys for the less overwhelming summer days.

Unfortunately, the Adidas Beachstar Sandal is only available for purchase in Japan and there's no word yet on if they'll eventually make their way to the U.S.
