In the digital age clothing companies are like rappers - most of them have no idea what they're doing. But if you dig hard enough you can always find some hidden gems that the mainstream may not know about but are simultaneously dope and intelligent. So just think about Black Scale as a new dope NYC emcee. Watch...
The duo that is Gangrene, Alchemist and Oh No, have released this visual gem to promote the upcoming release of their new project "Vodka & Ayahuasca." I'm sure they had to traverse their way through the inner-most levels of YouTube hell to find this video but the end result makes for one dope (and pretty hilarious) video promo. See more...
Hey, can someone tell Joe Budden to stop making club songs? Seriously though I don't think anyone wants to hear any potential "Pump It Up" remakes. Joe Budden is a great rapper, but there isn't anything about "Lower" that works for me. Lyrically, Joe Budden's just mediocre on it and the production is a little on the annoying side. It's been a minute since Eric and Jeff hit us with one of their "Check-In" interviews but alas they're finally back with a new interview featuring "The Dreamer, The Believer" himself, Common. During the interview Common speaks on being labeled a "gangster" rapper by FOX News, analyzes a dream that sounds a lot like the plot to "Just Wright," and more. See more...
Atlanta rapper Pill caused a miniature uproar yesterday when he revealed to MTV News that he was never signed to Rick Ross' Maybach Music Group. The rapper has appeared on several MMG songs, was featured on the "Self Made" CD (and even on the album's cover art), and also donned a MMG chain for quite sometime. See more...
Prior to seeing pictures of Nike's new Nike Manor "Fresh Mint" sneaker I had no idea that Nike released "swoosh-less" sneakers. The Nike swoosh is of course pretty iconic so not including it on a pair of Nike sneakers seems pretty bold. But even without the swoosh the Nike Manor "Fresh Mint" is still pretty fly. See more...
I'm not really sure if the world's ready for another chapter of R. Kelly's "Trapped In The Closet" better yet 32 of them. I can't possibly imagine why R. Kelly thought 32 chapters was necessary. But something tells me if R. Kelly gets the funding for his project it might be the most hilarious thing we'll see for the next decade or so. See more...
If you happen to reside in or near the New York City area and love Hip-Hop then you should most certainly be in the building when Pusha T rocks the Gramercy Theatre this Thursday (December 22nd). But in case you haven't been able to score yourself a ticket yet then you're in luck because Refined Hype is giving away a pair of tickets (yep, you and friend) to see Pusha T's show. See more...
Yea, this shit cray. This shit very cray. This man took "Ni**as In Paris" and turned it into an aerobic workout. I love that he switches to his demon voice during the "she said Ye can we get married at the mall" part. It's both frightening and hilarious. See more...
I'm assuming that all the hype stems from the fact that these are a collaboration between both Nike and Kanye West because these kicks are far from all that. Yea, they've got some cool features like the alligator skin pattern and I'm diggin' the combination of colors, but they're still pretty average. So far it's unclear when the Air Yeezy 2's will be released and what they'll sell for. See more...
