In honor of Jay-Z and renowned Hip Hop journalist Dream Hampton’s “Decoded,” a new book that takes a look at the motivation behind some of Jay-Z’s most intriguing lyrics, we thought it would be interesting to come up with our own list of artists that need to be “Decoded.” And if “Decoded” is as successful as expected then give it a few months before one of the artists below has their own “Decoded” inspired book out.

I never really liked ODB. Never really got my attention. The J.Cole mention, THAT is a big respect. And I agree. Nas is a given. 3K is a given. Twista, I would want to see how many people would buy it. I like the idea of this, I think a Nas book would be the biggest one besides Jay, and then 3K. |

Co-sign on Nas, 'stacks and ODB. J. Cole doing this would be something to look forward to in the future. Really interested to see how he evolves as an artist. Twista's just a crazy dude. |

@Young Mo Fo I love ODB, but I completely understand those who don't feel him. But he didn't get your attention? He was one of the most attention getting emcees ever. You ever see the time he rolled up to the welfare office in a limo. ODB was one in a million. |

LOL that is an a-hole move! But nah, his MUSIC didn't catch my ear. Maybe it was the times he was in, I'm 19 now so I couldn't have been that old when he was at his highest popularity. P.S. I been meaning to make a username for this website, probably the best entertaining music site around. IMO. RapRadar & RefinedHype are the Kush and OJ. |
