In Which I Opt Out of the Rihanna x Chris Brown Reunion

In a few weeks Rihanna will come out with a remix to “Birthday Cake” that will feature Chris Brown. That same week the two will be spotted having dinner together, and a few weeks after that they’ll announce they’re back together.

Right around that time the interwebs will fucking explode. You won’t be able to look at an urban music site without some article about why Rihanna and Brown shouldn’t be together, or they should. Everyone will be forced to have an opinion, and they will shout that opinion in every forum possible.

Well not me, and not RefinedHype. I’m boycotting the whole fucking fiasco in advance. Is there anyone in the world who believes that Rihanna and Brown’s reunion is anything but a marketing gimmick (the ultimate martketing gimmick) from two artists who depend on staying in the headlines to be successful?

Actually, there will be a lot of people who believe that - those people are morons. I’m not getting sucked into their manufactured controversy vortex, and I recommend you do the same.
