The Definitive Collection of ‘90s Rap One-Hit WondersPosted by Nathan S. on 08/23/12 | Filed under Top Stories, Rap Nerdery |

Ah, the ‘90s. It was a time when a young Nathan S. was beginning to become a man, a time largely considered hip-hop’s golden era, and I time that pumped out one-hit wonders at a staggering rate. And since I know there are more than a couple ‘80s babies out there like me who grew up on Skee-Lo’s “I Wish”, I thought it’d only be right to build The Definitive Collection of ‘90s Rap One-Hit Wonders.
As always, I’ll kick things off with some key selections. Hit me with your picks in the comments below and I’ll add them to the collection. And for the record, one hit wonder means an artist with a Top 20 hit that never did anything significant afterwards. So yeah, crazily enough that actually means Kris Kross and “Jump” doesn’t qualify; their second album, “Da Bomb”, went platinum.
