In the past year or so Wale has appeared on songs with so many R&B singers that I wouldn't be surprised if we find the rapper singing a hook or two on his next album. The only song which features both an R&B singer and Wale that I've really been impressed with was "Lotus Flower Bomb" with Miguel. So I'm really curious as to why all these singers keep turning to Wale for their songs. Listen...See more...
Most of the stoners I know have trouble getting up to go to the corner store and buy more Doritos, let alone put out an album a month, but it's hard to argue with Curren$y's work ethic. The man's simply been putting out a ton of work over the last year, and most of it has been surprisingly high quality. See more...
When a song is either really bad or really good you usually know within the first 30-seconds because there's normally a number of signs that scream "this is amazing" or "damn, this sucks." Take for instance Rick Ross' latest release "Bag Of Money" featuring T-Pain, Meek Mill, and Wale. Listen and download...See more...
Wale's latest video, "Slight Work", is actually two videos. One in which you watch an impressive selection of video vixens doing what the good lord intended them to do, and one in which you yell at Wale and Big Sean to get the fuck out the way so you can watch video vixens doing what the good lord intended them to do. There was a time - let's say even two years ago - when the mere sight of the words "Wale" and "Nas" next to the word "Tyga" would have made my brain melt in confusion. You mean this guy on a track with this guy and this guy? Listen and download...See more...
I know Wale and I have had our disagreements in the past but I will give the man this - the man makes some of the better sports references in the game. His MMG sugar daddy Rick Ross? Not so much. And Loso? The man's been known to throw down an ill punchline or two. Well then, this new "Albert Pujols" should be interesting. Listen and download....See more...

Tony Williams is on a mission to prove that "Some Of My Favorite Rappers Are Friends" on his latest track "Blazin' High" and with appearances from Wale, Emilio Rojas, and Macklemore we believe ya Tony. With a title like "Blazin' High" I expected the song to be one of those mellow, stoner songs but it's far from it. Listen and download...See more...

What, you think he signed to Maybach Music because of Rick Ross’ philanthropic efforts? Because he admired the artistic vision of a man who once rapped, “I’m thinking money – every minute thinkin money / I bust a nut, then I’m back to thinkin money”? Wale didn’t admire Ross’ art, he admired his "Ambition". See more....See more...

Believe it or not, this rappity rap blogging thing is more than a full time job. So when the holidays hit I seize the chance to eat, sleep, hang out with the fam and otherwise be a normal, functioning member of society. But Mondays here, which means it's back to RefinedHype's obsessive rap nerdery. See more...See more...

It’s hard to pass up on breaking down any video featuring both Rick Ross and Wale so this new “Tats On My Arm” video was a must for a video breakdown. In the video, Ross and Wale hit up Atlanta’s City Of Ink for some actual tats on my arm action. Oh, and there’s a 2 Chainz appearance. That dude is everywhere these days. He’s like the Visa card of Hip-Hop. See more...See more...
