With a trio like Kid Cudi, Travis Barker, and Steve Aoki you can't help but expect a dope video for their song "Cudi The Kid" and they pull off just that with help from director Jam Sutton. It's honestly one of the most visually stunning music videos I've seen in quite sometime. See more...
There's no questioning Royce Da 5'9's lyrical talent, but the guy might wanna wisen up when it comes to choosing the production for his projects. He goes in lyrically on "Legendary," a track on his upcoming album "Success Is Certain," but the production for the song just seemed all wrong. Listen...
There's a small list of white people that black rappers love, but it definitely included Justin Bieber, Chelsea Handler and Travis Barker. As proof, I humble sumbit the former Blink 182 drummer's new mixtape, "Let the Drummer Get Wicked", featuring the likes of Clipse, J. Cole, Lupe Fiasco, Wiz Khalifa, Tech N9ne and more. I have to admit, it's a pretty dope line-up. Listen and download...
Anyway, former Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker - aka the dude who married that Playboy mode, aka the dude who was in the plane crash with DJ AM - is getting ready to finally release his "Give the Drummer Some" album, and to build some momentum he's dropped quasi-title track, "Can the Drummer Get Some". Or to be more exact, some hard liquor. Listen and download...
The last record we heard from punk drummer turned hip-hop favorite Travis Barker, the Cool Kids-assisted "Jump Down" was dope, but his new joint "Carry It" makes that banger look like child's play. If you're a fan of aggressive hip-hop, it's hard to top Barker's rock drums combined with a quasi-Wu Tang reunion of RZA and Raekwon, plus guitar work from former Rage Against the Machine player Tom Morello. Travis Barker's upcoming album, cleverly titled "Give the Drummer Some", sounds pretty dope so far. If you haven't heard anything from the project so far new leak "Jump Down" is as good of a place to start as any. The beat, which Barker produced, has that ill live drum feel without going overboard, and while I've found The Cool Kids slow, retro rhyme style to be a little tiresome lately, they once again sound fresh on "Jump Down".
