I swear Lil Wayne's doing this just to fuck with me. I fucking swear. Just one day after I spent an inordinate amount of time arguing that he was still one of the best rappers in the game, LIl Wayne shows up on T-Pain's new single "Bang Bang Pow Pow" with an atrocious verse. Listen and download...
It happened so slowly and gradually I don't think most people even noticed, but it's been a long, long time since T-Pain's done anything notable. In 2008, the last year he release an album, you couldn't move without running into Mr. Pain. But in the last two years the only work the man seems to be getting is on The Fat Guy Who Yells posse tracks, which isn't exactly something to brag about.
First off how innocent of me to think that this song was about Tech N9ne, Lil Wayne, and T-Pain's disdain for french fries, Chipotle burritos, salads, and other delectable foods. Let me tell you, they're definitely not talking about that kind of food if you know what I mean (wink wink nudge nudge). Aside from the blush-worthy content of this song I actually kind of like it. Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to present #RefinedHate. If you can't already guess, they'll simply be columns in which I unabashedly hate on songs that deserve to be hated on. And what better way to kick things off than with Snoop Dogg's new terrible single, "Boom". O ley do it. See more....
I was going to talk all this shit about DJ Khaled's new track, "Welcome to My Hood" (at least I assume it's new, it's getting hard to tell), but on second thought I've got nothing but praise for the man. He's been doing slightly, and I mean slightly, different versions of the same song for years now, and as long as people keep buying them, why should he stop? Listen and download...
Considering everyone and their mother has done a freestyle over Wiz Khalifa’s breakthrough smash Black & Yellow – seriously, my mom f**king killed that beat – it’s only right that the main man himself has finally supplied the official remix…excuse me, G-Mix. Joining Wiz for the second go around are Snoop, Juicy J and the god of auto-tune, T-Pain. Listen & download!
As both a writer and a hip-hop lover I post tracks for one of two reasons: they're dope, and/or they provide me with material to write about. Consider this new T-Wayne (T-Pain x Lil Wayne) track "Hoes & Ladies" much more the latter than the former. Lord knows it's not changing anyone's live, but there's just too much goodness here not to crack it open.O let's do it....
Based on musical merit alone I wasn't sure if I was going to post the latest track, "Nappy Boy", from the former first lady of DTP Shawnna, but from the obviously incorrect title to the Nicki Minaj style stealing, I just had too much to say to let this one go. So, without any further do, here we go. Listen and download...
