Yes, I know I just got done blasting the impersonal way guest verses are often put together in the digital age, but there are also some serious advantages to making music via the interwebs. For example, twenty years ago it would have been practically impossible to get Miami emcee J NiCS, L.A. emcee El Prez and Boston emcee REKS together for a track like "All These Bitches Love It".
Mayday are able to make live instrument hip-hop without succumbing to the "hey look at us, we're making live instrument hip-hop!" trap so many other groups fall victim to, and by combining group emcees BernBiz and Wrekonize with Dead Prez vet M1 and Boston emcee REKS, the mic skills more than match the beat.
