Another day, another dope freestyle from the greatest rapper to ever come out of Topeka High School, Mike Schpitz. The latest, and last, leak from his upcoming and cleverly titled "Mike Murder" project (see previous leak "Mike is Like"), Schpitz' latest joint "Dinner's Hot" is, of course, nothing but four straight minutes of punchline heavy flows. Almost six months after "Love Potion" Mike Schpitz is gearing up to release a new project, "Mike Murder", hence the photo, and in order to build some much-deserved hype surrounding the project he'll be releasing a few select leaks, starting with today's "Mike Is Like", a nearly four-minute lyrical onslaught over DJ Premier's "Nas is Like" beat. "Mike is like a pack of Mike & Ikes to a diabetic…I’m dope enough to ignite a Richard Pryor fire session.” Yeah, it's like that. Listen and download...
Mike Schpitz is known more for his off the wall lyrical linguistics than his serious odes, but on his single "The Rain" the Topeka, Kansas emcee dopely takes us inside some of his darker (and wetter) days, and, more importantly, ultimately offering a ray of hope. Coming off his "Love Potion Potion Number 9th: The Hangover" mixtape, Schpitz has now let go of some visual accompaniment to his lyrical storm, using Chicago's urban scenery as the perfect backdrop to mesh with the production and the lyrics (no offense to Chicago).
Mike Schpitz (a.k.a. Love Jones) is busy working on a new project (he wrote mysteriously) but in the meantime he's let loose of two remixes off his dope "Love Potion Number 9th: The Hangover" project. After linking up with emcee/producer LONEgevity, Schpitz is proud to present "Fit One (Remix)" and "Bump (Remix)", both of which embed the originals with a smoothly laid back but still banging vibe. Ever since I saw his hilariously dope video "Sucka MCs" I've been a big Mike Schpitz fan, and the Kansas native doesn't disappoint on his latest tracks "Blow It Out" and "Let It Go" ft. Adullessence, Large Marge and Stik Figa. Both tracks are off Schpitz's RefinedHype.com and FlawlessHustle.com affiliated mixtape "Love Potion Number 9th: The Hangover", produced by 9th Wonder. I could keep going, but it's probably better to let the man speak for himself. See more to listen and download...
For the fourth and final video from Mike Schiptz' debut album, "Sunday Drive", the Kansas up-and-comer links up with Tori Boyd to shoot A Tribe Called Quest remake, "Sucka MCs." With dope rhymes and hilarious videos like this, sucka MCs should be very, very scared of Schiptz.
