For those who haven't been following my posts of ForteBowie over the past few weeks, here's a quick recap. I get sent a lot of music, most of it is wack, but I took a second to listen to some of Bowie's old music and thought, "damn, this is actually pretty good." Then he played me the new album he was working on and I thought, "damn, this is actually pretty good too." Listen and download...
How do you follow up a breezy, instantly contagious summer jam like "Decatur"? If you're ATL up-and-comer ForteBowie you craft a on my grind anthem, invite Stanza (who we haven't heard from in a minute) on board for a guest verse and title the whole thing "Alive". Listen and download...
When I was considering having RefinedHype get behind Atlanta emcee ForteBowie he played me his upcoming "Something About Bowie" album and I had two responses. One, this is dope, we'll definitely support. And two, you need to release "Decatur" as single. It's good to see someone listen to me for a change. Go ahead, tell me I was wrong. Listen and download...)
I heard his "Life and Times of David Ruffin" project, thought it was pretty damn good, asked him to send over some new music, though that shit was pretty good too and boom, here we are. The first release off Bowie's upcoming project "The Thesis" is a soul influenced cut that's as good an introduction to the Atlanta emcee as you're going to get.
Each week we will send you a recap of our top stories, downloads, and videos.
