Young Jeezy Shows Soul on Brand New “I Got This” (Download)

I'm man enough to admit when I'm wrong, and I was wrong about Young Jeezy (kind of). Back when the snowman first hit the scene I thought he was more style than substance, but Jeezy's been steadily upping his game. In fact, if his newly leaked track "I Got This" is any indication, the man's developing some serious soul on the mic.

"I Got This" owes no small amount of its soul to some classic trademark production from newcomer Beewirks, but Jeezy more than holds his own on the mic, using his gravel-fueled voice and banger rhymes to become a street preacher of sorts. I'm not saying the man is suddenly Common, he does rhyme "ni**er" with "ni**er" about 47 times, but if you're a hip-hop head you have to be take the man seriously. Plus, calling cocaine "Justin Timberlake" is hilarious. Listen for yourself.
