It's never as simple as the underground is dope, the mainstream sucks. Lord knows there's no shortage of wack, or at least un-good, music coming from outside Clear Channel's purview. And by the same token even radio will occasionally play some dope shit, or at the very least some mindlessly enjoyable shit. Nothing wrong with that.

But on the real? On the really real? Radio won't touch a song like Nottz "You Need This Music (Remix)", and for that (and much more), fuck 'em. Once again the VA producer delivers some serous quality behind the board, flipping what I'm almost positive is a Willie Hutch sample into yet another head-nodder. (Sounds like 9th used the same sample on his doper than dope "The Corner (Remix)".)

Throw in some vocals from Detroit soulster Dwele and the most luxury-rap-free verse from Pusha T we've heard in...um, years?....and you've got some of that real real shit I know RefinedHype Nation is going to dig.
