XV Makes the Track Cry on “Remember the Rain” (Listen & Download)

XV Remember the Rain
I'll let you in on a little behind-the-scenes secret: every time we post an XV cut it gets as many listens as a Jay/Weezy/insert your favorite superstar rapper here track. I know that may seem like hyperbole, but I don't know what to tell you. Numbers don't lie. He may not have the Maybach, but the man at the end of the alphabet has a ravenously hungry and loyal fan base, which is why I felt compelled to keep the masses happy and post his new cut "Remember the Rain".

Originally intended for Tecknowledgy's "Welcome to Crime City" but dropped for as-yet unknown reasons, "Remember the Rain" is definitely not what we're used to from XV as the usually (relatively) peaceful rapper decided to bust our his storytelling skills and launch into a Carmelo-ish soliloquy about the dangers of snitching and the often tragic consequences of the drug game. In other words, if you've been waiting to hear Vizzy yell, "snitch ni**er, fucking snitches!" today is your lucky day.

UPDATE: Sorry folks, but I just heard from XV himself that Tecknowledgy is pushing "Remember the Rain" without his permission, and as a sign of respect for Vizzy I'm taking down the DL links and stream. Industry rule number 4,080...

Vizzy is the Thesaurus' first option when you look up 'positive development'.

Listening to this clearly shows he has been putting in time and effort (throughout the years) honing his skills, and now he is going to the top, with or without label support.

Track is fine. Gotta love that throwback 03-04 sample-driven sound, and XV as a street spitter is on-point!
