You know how it goes. The internets gets flooded with new videos and we throw some sandbags down in the form of a Video Wrap. (I'm not sure that analogy makes any sense.) Moving on...today's Video Wrap features new flicks from Kanye, Freddie Gibbs, Cee-Lo, Ahmad and many more. Enjoy, your eyeballs will thank you.
Kanye Live at Twitter
Having launched an atrocious Twitter account in which he mostly just links to stuff about him and talks about how rich he is, Kanye decided to continues his social network tour and do a live performance for the Twitter staff, who laugh uproariously at every joke he makes. Still, I can't front, these rhymes sound dope.
Freddie Gibbs - "National Anthem (Fuck the World)"
Gangster Gibbs drops a video in which we learn that he can't run particularly fast (true), and the current war on drugs is the modern day equivalent of slavery (basically true). Off his recently released "Str8 Filla No Killa" mixtape.
Cee-Lo “What Part Of Forever”
Did you ever see the "Cribs" episode with Cee-Lo? The man's got an entire closet devoted to cereal, his favorite snack. Now that's ballin. What were we talking about? Oh yeah, his new post-apocylptic video. It's good, but not as good as a cereal closet. Lo's upcoming album "Lady Killer" drops later this year.
Ahmad - "Nig Can't Tell Me Nunt"
I was digging his comeback single "Get Some Money & Go 2 Jail" and I'm digging the second offering as well, even if it is much more subdued and low key. Filmed while driving to a beach in Malibu with his 5-year-old son Yeshuwa. His sophomore solo album "The Death of Me" will be available on August 10.
Skyzoo & !LLMIND - "Frisbees"
This video is ill, but not as ill as this other frisbee video. Speaking of ill, Skyzoo & !LLMIND's new album "Live From The Tape Deck" drops in October 5 via Duck Down. Folks need to stop sleeping on Skyzoo.
The ILLZ - "M.P.A.(My Public Apology)"
ILLZ - remember the all caps when you spell the man's name. Inspired by French New Wave films, which is a fancy way of saying Illz got to hang out with a beautiful girl but filmed it in black and white so it looked "classy". All jokes aside, a creative joint from a creative man. Part of his ongoing "In Between Video Series", which will drop in its entirety along with songs on August 17.
Jeff Spec - "On My Feet"
Newcomer, Vancouver native and emcee/producer Jeff Spec drops off this ode to kicks which he describes as "tongue in cheek", which may be yet another pun but I'm not quite sure. Off his recently released album "Sneakerboxx".
ILLZ M.P.A. is by far my favorite of this wrap. Who ever thought Hip-Hop could trescend into that realm? It's easy to envision, but that video displays the raw emotion of his music.

@kylewilliam Good to see there's another ILLZ man in the room. You never know what you're going to get next from the man, and in an era of cut and paste rappers that's a rare thing indeed.

That ILLZ is surreal. It almost transcends the genre as it is now. Brings it back at while at the same time taking it further. True artistry.
