We're going to do things a little bit differently today on the Video Wrap and not only drop some music videos, but some other tidbits as well. You know, like Chelsea Handler's all-rapper roundtable and Fat Joe talking about the time Biggie wanted to kill DJ Clue. Good times.
Chelsea Handler's Rapper Roundtable ft. Lil Jon, Big Boi & Rick Ross
The white female comedian rappers love hosted her first rapper roundtable with Lil Jon, Big Boi and Rick Ross, whom she hilariously calls "tons of fun." The topic of conversations centers around why black men love big asses, and they various sues for said big asses. Hilarity ensues.
In the words of producer SMKA, "Aleon Craft’s music is sometimes dismissed as 'Strange'… so we thought it would be appropriate if we recreate this song [from The Doors]." I would have loved to see some actual ink get done, but it's some dopely creative visuals nonetheless. Aleons' "Stargazing Soundtrack" drops in August off DJBooth.
Kid Cudi Premiers New Track, Fights Fan
Cudi premiers a new track from "Mr. Rager" during a concert in Cleveland, although he only goes a cappella, so unless you're a big Cudi fan, be prepared to be unimpressed. Later on he would get into a brawl with a fan/drunken asshole (which you can watch here). Nothing good happens in Cleveland. Nothing.
Fat Joe Says Biggie Wanted to Kill DJ Clue
Fat Joe recounts how the Notorious one wanted to kill DJ Clue, seriously. For some reason Joe thinks this is the funniest story he's ever told. "Biggie had this gun, a Deringer. That ni**a was hilarious." Fascinating story, though I'm not so sure what's funny about Biggie wanting to shoot Clue dead. Oh well.
Mos Def – "As-Salaam-Alaikum/Wahid (Live)"
Not technically a music video, but it should be. Huge props to Mos.
