Usher & Bun B Tell the Ladies to “Get Into My Car” (Listen & Download)

Usher
At first I wasn't so sure about Usher's new cut "Get Into My Car", so I stuck it into yesterday's "Daily Re-Up". But then I woke up this morning with that banging, horn heavy, impossibly catchy Polow da Don beat in my head and I knew it was worth its own post. But since I didn't actually get much sleep last night (shout out to my baby daughter) I can't bring myself to lay out a comprehensible paragraph about "Into My Car". So enjoy some random thoughts:

1) Usher spends an inordinate amount of time talking about threesomes. You get the feeling having sex with just one supermodel's boring to the man at this point. Hmmm....I wonder why he got divorced?

2) I just realized that Bun B is taking over the game. The man's everywhere these days, from underground bangers like "Oil Money" to tracks like this with international superstars. Bun's an absolute monster right now - it's about time. UGK for life.

3) If I was Usher I would have tried to make the dude who says "Hey, you, get in my car" on the hook sound a little more like he's trying to seduce someone, and a little less like he's trying to abduct them. I'm just saying - it sounds like Usher's getting his Ben Roethlisberger on.

4) This track continues a growing trend from artists - the album re-release. "Get Into My Car" will be off "Versus", a re-release of "Raymond vs. Raymond" with a few additional tracks. I don't know why anyone would buy a re-released album, but considering Justin Bieber had both his original and re-released album in the top-ten simultaneously, it's obviously a good move for artists.

Anyway, good luck getting this out of your head anytime soon.

I think re-releasing an album is a good thing. Lady Gaga re-released The Fame and that was a major hit everywhere.

@Whingster - It's definitely a good thing for the artist's bank account, I'm just not so sure it's a good thing for consumers. We'll see how Usher's re-up turns out - but as least this track is hot.
