There was a time - let's say even two years ago - when the mere sight of the words "
Wale" and "
Nas" next to the word "
Tyga" would have made my brain melt in confusion. You mean
this guy on a track with
this guy and
this guy? My how the times have changed. Wale now likes to have Rick Ross spoon him to sleep each night, and Nas is enjoying a late career resurgence that includes
some Bawse time of his own. So sure, why not. Let's give this whole "
King & Queens" thing a spin.
First, have to give it up to that Olympiks beat - nothing overly complicated but I can't front, my head's nodding. As for Tyga, the YMCM signee has shown flashes of lyricism and while this isn't exactly something to break out your pen and notepad to, it's certainly better than "
Rack City" would suggest. As for Wale and Nasty, pretty solid performances by both, particularly Nas, who continues an impressive streak of dope feature consistency.
So yeah, I guess I'm kind of fucking with this Tyga. Huh, might just be enough for me to check out his "Careless World" album when it drops this coming Tuesday.
