Note to
Tony Yayo, if you have the nerve to call a song
"Dead Rappers" can you at least make sure it's a banging song before you choose to name it that. The people of America thank you. I didn't necessarily expect greatness from this song, but the Styles P appearance is what drew me in and even his verse couldn't save this from being just a really boring song. Now if "Dead Rappers" had a great beat it wouldn't have been as dull, but the production on this song is just awful. Throw in some random rappers you've never heard of and it's quite the opposite of magical...whatever that may be.
Not only is the production bad, but it just doesn't seem to fit the style of the song. When you have a song like "Dead Rappers" with a lot of gritty New York rappers on it you expect a beat that reflects that grittiness. Instead you get what sounds like a bunch of heart-shaped bubbles popping in mid-air and that's about as gritty as the Charmin's toilet paper bears.
