Tony Williams is on a mission to prove that "Some Of My Favorite Rappers Are Friends" on his latest track "Blazin' High" and with appearances from
Wale,
Emilio Rojas, and
Macklemore we believe ya Tony. With a title like "Blazin' High" I expected the song to be one of those mellow, stoner songs but it's far from it. In fact, "Blazin' High" has more of a "why don't we crank this up on the way to that rave" feel to it. Now I don't like raves, but I am kinda feeling this song. Everyone's verse is pretty solid and the beat is a little on the dope side as well.
My only major gripe with "Blazin' High" is that the song features a sample of a Swizz Beatz ad-lib. A Swizz Beatz ad-lib?! Now you can do better then that. Swizz-Beatz' ad-lib's are already a tragic occurrence on whichever song they were intended for so sampling it is just absurd.
Nathan Update: I've been assured that the vocal in the hook isn't a Swizz sample, it's completely original. RefinedHype stands corrected.
Tony Williams' "Some Of My Favorite Rappers Are Friends" will be released on Friday, January 13th.
