Before he was racking up Hollywood movies and knocking boots with tennis players CommonCommon Sense was a hungry young Chicago emcee down to battle anyone, anytime - including the Westside Connection. Maybe it's because of all his extra-curricular activities, or maybe it's because you take anyone who's been around so long for granted, but so many people seem to forget the simple fact that Common's one of our greatest living emcees you could legitimately call him tragically underrated.
Which is why I jump on projects like DJ Soul's "Time Travelin", a mixtape that features rarities, remixes and classic tracks, like Herman Cain on a white secretary. Sometimes we all need a reminder of just how ill Common is. Stream and download is below the tracklist and the video for my favorite old school Common joint, "Take It EZ".
