I'll admit that as a Boston native we often laughed at Rhode Island, but the truth is that the smallest state in the country has produced a disproportionately large amount of dope musicians. The latest hip-hop worthy hip-hop representer of the Ocean State is DJ/producer/emcee Theo Martins, who's been making quite a name for himself on the hip-hop interwebs over the last couple months with leaks off his "Channel Surfin" mixtape. Well the real deal is finally here, and the result is well worth the wait. Mixed by DJ Wreckineyez and featuring guest appearances from RAtheMC, Emilio Rojas, Rapper Big Pooh, U-N-I and many more, "Channel Surfin" announces the arrival of a true new talent.

So why did Martins name the project "Channel Surfin"? I'll let the man himself explain: "We named this project 'Channel Surfin' as it generally represented people and their short attention-spanned nature. Each song serves as a 'Channel' each different from the last song and so forth. The goal was to collectively mash them together to create what we have here. My life is such a TV show.?"
