B.o.B. Joins The Roots for “The Fire (Remix)” (Listen & Download)

Some days it feels like the hip-hop gods are speaking to me. Well this is one of those days, and they're telling me to post as much B.o.B. and Roots related material as possible. Hey, who am I to defy the hip-hop gods, especially when they're making their intentions so clear by dropping a remix to The Roots stellar track "The Fire" featuring a new verse from, you guessed it, Bobby Ray. The remix holds completely true to the original - same hypnotizing beat, same dope John Legend hook, same BlackThought lyrics - the only difference here is a hell of a B.o.B. verse. That man's on top of the world right now.

I'm also hearing a rumor that Lupe Fiasco was originally supposed to be on the remix, but he passed it onto B.o.B. Naw, I'm just f**king with you, though that "Nothin Bout You" rumor turned out to be completely true. The Roots latest opus "How I Got Over" is available today on iTunes and tomorrow in stores.
