Chill the F**k Out & Listen to The O’My’s “Chicago Style” Mixtape (Listen & Download)

Free porn aside, the interwebs can often be more trouble than its worth. But every so often the interwebs come through, like in the case of this O'My's mixtape. Twenty years ago there's probably no way I would have known the Chicago crew even existed, but now someone emails me a link and boom, five minutes later I've got some dope new music.

To break it down real quick, The O'My's are a big ass collection of Chicago live musicians, along with singer Maceo and two emcees. They did an 8-track mixtape with fellow Chi producers Blended Babies called "Chicago Style". It's pretty damn good, and definitely a welcome change of pace from all the "Mercy" freestyles I'm still getting sent. (Yo, side note, motherfucking stop sending me "Mercy" freestyles.)

Video for "Honey Dip" is below along with a download link if you're feeling inspired. It's also got the original version of the "Simply Beautiful" track Asher Roth rhymed over. This shit isn't for everyone, but if you're down for some non-rappity rap, I wouldn't waste your time.
