The great thing about hip-hop is that it includes everything from hardcore lyrical NYC shit to ATL bangers, experimental dubstep-influenced shit to west coast riders. If you're only listening to one kind of hip-hop, you're selling yourself tragically short.

So yes, there are times when I want to sit down with some Aesop Rock and spent the next week trying to decode lyrics. And there are time when I want to crank the volume up to 11 and just go fucking pistachios. The League of Extraordinary Gz's new "Billie Jean" is definitely for those fucking pistachios times. There will always be room on my playlist for a beat like that (word to A Squared Productions) and rapid-fire flows like that (word to Tuk-Da-Gat, Lowkey and S. Dot), so I recommend you don't overthink this shit.
