Most artists would drop an album and then go back and film videos, but the always eclectic My City vetThe ILLZ (make sure you use caps when you spell the man's name) is not most artists. For the past few weeks ILLZ has been dropping flick after flick, some of which were featured in our Video Wraps, and now he's dropping the audio accompaniment to that visual feast with his somewhat confusing titled new mixtape/album/mixalbum "In Between Video Series".
It's actually not really that confusing. Just think about it like this: unlike most, ok all, other projects, there's really no distinction between the video and the audio. So whether you think about it as musical cinema, or cinematic music, it's all the same. Whatever. It's dope. Download it.
Let the credits roll: "In Between" was made in conjunction with Kristopher Rey-Talley and HotMop Films and is co-presented by OnSMASH, 2Dope and YouHeardThatNew. In addition, a downloadable copy of all the project's videos will be dropping tomorrow, stay tuned. Oh, and one last thing. Those in New York City should check out ILLZ performing alongside a host of others this Friday, August 27, at Angels & Kings. More info here.
