In preparation for his upcoming mixtape
"1977" The Dream gave fans another sample of what they can expect from the project with his recent release "Wake Me When It's Over." Aside from some really odd sounding autotune around the 2:00 mark "Wake Me When It's Over" is a pretty smooth song. And it sounds a lot like
The Dream is referring to his relationship with ex-wife Christina Milian.
This is probably one of the most real and emotional songs from The Dream because it all seems like it's coming from personal experience. But for "Wake Me When It's Over" to be filled with so much sorrow it sure does sound good. Also, does the cover art for The Dream's "1977" mixtape remind you of the cover art of a particular album that was recently released from a huge Hip-Hop duo? Exactly... "1977" will be released tomorrow, August 31.
