The-Dream & Ludacris Show They’re the “Love King (Remix)” (Video)

The-Dream's people have been hyping the video for his "Love King (Remix)" with Luda for weeks now like it was the sequel to "Avatar", so it's hard not to watch the duo's latest visuals and not wonder, "this is what we were waiting for"? Still, it's better than the original video, so at least they're moving in the right direction. Plus it has a bunch of hot women, so you know, everyone's a winner.

The Refined Take:

1) I live in L.A. so maybe I'm just used to 25 being considered "old" for a woman, but is it just be or is that model in the bathroom with Luda a little on the old side? Hey, maybe the Ludameister likes cougars. More power to him.

2) Director: "I got it! Why don't we crumple up some shiny purple foil and Dream can perform in front of that!" The-Dream: "I love it. Let's do it." Or at least that's how I imagine it went down.

3) It look me about thirteen listens to finally catch this, but Dream actually says, "girls up in Utah" at one point. I can almost guarantee you that's the first time Utah's gotten a shout out in a major r&b song. And I've been to Utah, not exactly a lot of eye candy walking around.

4) I'm not sure what August has to do with construction workers, but I don't really care. Thanks Miss August.

5) I know I'm talking a lot of shit, but truth be told I couldn't possibly be more stoked for "Love King" the album to finally drop this June. Mark your calendars. (See what I did there? The video has a calender, so I....)
