The Away Team Celebrate “Independence Day” (Mixtape Listen & Download)

I hope you all spent the 4th of July like a true American; drinking heavily, cooking meats and celebrating the birth of our great nation by blowing a small hole in it. U.S.A.! U.S.A! Even if it is technically a day late, I thought RefinedHype needed a touch of patriotism on the site - and what better way honor the birth of our nation than with a dope mixtape. Said mixtape comes to us today in the form of The Away Team (Khrysis & Sean Boog) and their new, aptly-titled project "Independence Day". Although, sadly, it contains nary a reference to the Will Smith flick, it is chock full of hip-hop goodness, including guest spots from Sean Price, Evidence, Smif-N-Wessun, Black Milk and more.

Only in America could a music started in an impoverished inner city become a global phenomenon.
