T.I. Invasion Continues With New Single “Got Ya Back” (Listen & Download)

With new T.I. singles dropping like drunk college girls today, and a mixtape (allegedly) on its way this afternoon, we might as well just go ahead and call today Clifford Harris Day on RefinedHype. Just hours after he let go of his new single "Yeah Ya Know", T.I. came right back with yet another single, "Got Ya Back (with an AK-47)". Ok, I added the AK part. As much as I've been digging "I'm back" and "Yeah Ya Know", they're both too hard to really take off on radio. Problem solved. "Got Ya Back" is a topical reworking Clifford's mega-hit "Whatever Your Like", bouncing along on light production and a hook from the always solid Keri Hilson. Still, I find myself overwhelmed.

I have to say, this sudden flood of official T.I. material is a little odd. Apparently he and his people sat down and decided, "You know that, even though the new album doesn't come out for three months, we're f**king owning May 25 for no discernible reason." The again, who am I to question the King.

Looks like someone didn't read my "Dear Rappers, Stop Singing". For the record, in the official email from Atlantic Records they spell the song both "Your Back" and "Ya Back", so lord knows I don't know which one it's supposed to be if they don't.
