Swizz Beatz & Reebok Unveil New, Pretty Dope Collaboration

Dear Swizzy, oh how your adlibs make me cringe but you may be on to something with this Reebok collaboration. Throughout the week more and more details have been revealed in regards to producer/artist Swizz Beatz collab with Reebok. Pictures of both sneakers have finally been released and now an almost two-minute long teaser video has also been released.



Sporting a Jean-Michel Basquiat t-shirt Swizz Beatz revealed the line of sneakers, titled The Kamikaze, at a press event earlier this week. Two sneakers were introduced: one sports a neon green, gray, and white colorway while the other pair consists of a more colorful, abstract colorway. It’s somewhat unclear, but the two sneakers may be part of Reebok’s “Reebok Presents: The Art Of Basquiat” collection which is curated by Swizz Beatz. My guess is yes since Swizz is rocking a t-shirt with a picture of the late artist. Plans for the collection inspired by Basquiat were announced late last year.



Overall the sneakers look pretty dope. My only comment is they do look a little Jordan-esque and I’m not quite sure where the Basquiat influence is (if they are in fact influenced by the late artist). A price point has yet to be released, but I have a good feeling that you’re probably gonna dish out a little more than you’d like to.
