Since I first featured SoulStice's track "Strange Kind of Love" more than four months ago the songs has gone on to win lultiple awards, including the Billboard World Song Contest. But more than just a superbly well written song, "Strange Kind of Love" directly and bravely addresses gay rights, an issue that, if it's acknowledged by hip-hop at all, is only done in the most aggressive and derogatory terms possible.
Like Soulstice, I am a straight married man with a child who believes that all people should be able to enjoy the legal rights and social acknowledgment my wife and I do. I don't expect this song, or my personal views, to change the world overnight, and I full respect that others have different views on the matter. I'm posting this video because I hope it prompts, on some level, further discussion, and because I think Soulstice deserves some ackowledgement for speaking to his beliefs, no matter how unpopular they might be.

Was that just really serious? Hey, sometimes I get deep. Don't worry, I'll be back to making fun of Yung Berg in no time.
