How about you get abused for six months, have death threats thrown at you when you're getting beat and are only saved because it all came out in the open? Chris Brown, in my opinion, does not deserve all 37.8 million dollars, I know that there are many, MAAANY more abusers worse than him, but none of them as once-famous as he was. Chris Brown is not talented. How about, instead of giving him a chance, we focus on talented, raw young men that have gone undiscovered, under the limelight, or better yet, famous enough to be known, but not a household name? And what pisses me off the most, is that soooo many people want to defend him "Oh he made a mistake, everybody makes mistakes." But he apoligized and made himself look like the victim in a couple of occasions, when he could have stopped, way before this happened, way before we knew him as the "man" he is today. I will try not to ever pay for anything he endorses, or produces, because forgiveness is out of the question. |

Ain't nobody on this earth perfect. Niggas who talk shit about Chris Brown got their own dirt about them and probably have wronged as many if not more people. So it's not cool to say he doesn't deserve his money that he's been earning working hard since he was 14 or something like that. The kid doesn't deserve to have his entire life ruined for, as I know, the ONLY mistake he's made in his career besides wearing that blue bow tie. And don't use Amen to affirm something that goes against religious beliefs. God believes in FORGIVENESS so apparently you're not perfect if you're holding malice towards someone you don't know. |

It doesn't matter if people forgive him or not, he is going to have to pay for it the rest of his life. Will people get over what he did? In time it will become a lot less relevant but it will alwatys be there. It will be a lot harder since it was Rihanna who is going to be in the spotlight for a very long time. Needless to say the kid has some talent and is capable of making good music. Graffiti was too soon and was too all over the place. Crawl was a great song and I Can Transform Ya was a decent jump start. But the song with the most mainstream potential was Pass Out. It could have been his next Forever but it probably wouldn't have succeeded. So yes, enough people will get over what he did in time but he will be scrutinized for the rest of his life. People don't realize this but there are hip-hop artists out there who have most likely done the same thing to a girl but have been able to pay them hush money. I personally will never see Chris Brown the same and what he did is unfathomable in my eyes, but when I see that he has grown up enough (which is not yet), I will be able to listen to his music again. |

Seriously haha? Not to be rude but how wrong can you get in one comment? First correction for Bgirl: No abusers as once famous as Chris Brown? How about these two names- Bobby Brown and Ike Turner? Familiar with those? Next Chris Brown not talented? First Album: Run It, Gimmie That, Poppin, Yo Excuse me Miss. All got extensive radio play and I still get request for some when I DJ. He was like 16 then. Second Album: Forever, Gimmie whatcha got, Kiss Kiss, Wall to Wall, Throwed, Superhuman. Once again all got bookoo radio time and again I still get request for them. A little older but still only like 18 so high school age. You show me someone else with similar numbers of hit songs on their freshman and sophomore albums and tell me that they don't have talent AND THAT YOUNG. I in no way condone violence against women. My mom was beat by my dad when I was little and I hid. I didn't defend him at all when the news first broke on the whole thing. Honestly if I did that I'd probably still be in jail. But is it not true that everybody makes messes up? Do you? I mean maybe not in which case I'm sorry Jesus for calling you out. Yes he handled it wrong trying to look like a victim but again do you handle every problem the right way? Let's say you took every rapper at their word and considered all their lyrics to be real (which we like to hope most of it is legit cause then we feel like they could relate to us some- so we buy their music and like it) then there are a lot of artists out there guilty of murder. Is murder worse than beating someone? Hell Yeah! but you don't hold that against anyone do you? If it isn't true and you don't believe lyrics anyway well then you are accepting that fact that that person or group is lying to the world. Is that as bad as beating someone? Not at all but it still isn't right and yet you support the lies. Does that sound right to you? IDK your call. Bottom line is that's over with. She definitely moved on and is doin' her thing again. And He's getting back on his game too. So don't ever pay for anything he endorses or produces. Your loss |

Good argument, here's my counter-argument; His range is about two octaves, he has stage presence, looks and charm, which have worked and do work, for many, many women. As for never paying for anything he produces; if I like one of his songs, there's always Limewire |

haha I don't completely see how that is a counter but I feel like we have an understanding. I haven't used limewire forever cause I wanted all my music to be legit and have the best sound quality but you have the point lol |

For me there's a reasonable middle ground here. I was disgusted by what Brown and have yet to see anything I feel like is genuine remorse or understanding from him, so I'm making the personal choice not to buy his music. With that said, anyone else has every right to choose to continue to buy his music, he has every right to continue to pursue his career and I sincerely wish him the best of luck. Plus I have to agree with Bgirl - the dude can dance, but musically he's got a long way to go before he wins me over. |

look 1st of all i love chris brown. 2nd thing, he did what he did, apologized, accpted responsibilty, went and got treatment and kept making music. how many rappers/ singers do you know that could have done that. chris is young, and no his age does not evcuse his behavior but i feel like to be that young and famous and still want to continue to do what you love even though people dont want to see you succeed is fucking excellent! anyways chris is really talented. i mean we as black people never take the time out to appreciate good talent some of us just think artists are cute and have money so we like them. but really chris rapps better then wacka flacka, fat joe, guccimane and alot of other rappers. actually if you ask me they all rap about shit they never even experienced, except for guccimane but still all he did was kill 4 guys that was trying to kill him, it aint like he cold faced shot 4 niggas. so this all goes to say if any artist should be knocked it should be the ones that sell drugs, trap, gang bang and degrade women all the time, and not some one who made a mistake, admitted to it, worked on it and came back pumping good music. look im done arguing some people just wont never understand. ~i love u chris brown ~ |
