Don't let the name fool you Sha Stimuli's
"140 Characters" has pretty much nothing to do with Twitter, but rather the inability to express oneself through such a limited outlet. Fear not though because
Sha Stimuli touches on just about everything on "140 Characters" from phony industry events to dudes on the down low and even Drake confusion. You can tell that he had some serious venting to do on this song.
Sha Stimuli keeps it comical at certain points as he comments, "How come people can say 'Sha, you look skinny'....But if I see someone the same size as Biggie and say, 'Damn dog, you lookin' fat as shit,' I'm wrong." But for the most part "140 Characters" remains unapologetic in its seriousness although I have to admit it's refreshing hearing an artist keep it 100-percent real. A lot of artists choose to sugarcoat things and Stimuli instead chooses to lay it all out. And he also manages to do something very few artists succeed at and that is vent in a song and still make it listenable. Kudos to him and the production on "140 Characters," courtesy of Radio Maschine, is pretty nice too.
