Scheme Just Needs to “Maintain” (Listen & Download)

I won't hesitate to say that Scheme is one of the dopest, and most overlooked, emcees working today, and I'm more than happy to back up such a heavy claim with tracks like "Maintain". Here the My City veteran, as always, spits nothing but realness, delving into those times when simple survival become paramount over a softly rocking beat courtesy of Dario. Off the deluxe edition of his "Same Rebel, New Cause" project, which will be dropping soon, just think of "Maintain" as a darker, Chicago version of "The Message". Sometimes it makes me wonder how I keep from going under.

Side note: Saw this on Scheme's Twitter and it was so funny/fucked up I had to share. Wait, all Latinos don't look alike?
