Although Rocawear was launched a decade ago the brand has easily maintained its relevance in today’s competitive fashion business. Evidence of Rocawear’s innovativeness is clear in their latest campaign. Entitled the “Next” campaign, the campaign features both images and video. Images for the “Next” campaign feature various children and takes a look at the past and a hint at the future with words proclaiming, “I Am Next.” A video was also released showing onlooker’s taking a peek at a Rocawear shoot taking place in a showroom.
Pros: The “Next” campaign clearly demonstrates the boldness and power of RocaWear as a brand. There aren’t many brands that can pull that off.
Cons: Although the video works it didn’t seem to be very reflective of the brand. The clothing/accessories weren’t shown much and it seemed like onlooker’s got more airtime than the actual brand.
To Sum It Up: Both the video and images were a creative and innovative way to spread the word about Rocawear’s new campaign. Other brands better take note.
