During the summer of last year
Rocawear enlisted the help of two of R&B’s brightest stars,
Melanie Fiona and
Trey Songz, to promote their brand through various clothing campaigns. And although Trey Songz kind of reminds me of a 14-year-old posing as an adult, both Songz and Fiona are definitely great choices for Rocawear.
Late last week Rocawear revealed their newest campaign featuring the two artists. Set in Puerto Rico the campaign features clothing from Rocawear’s new spring/summer 2011 line. Only a handful of looks were released, but from what’s pictured it seems that the men’s line actually looks way more impressive than the women’s and that’s usually pretty rare. The men’s collection just looks a little more polished. You’ve got your button-up shirt, a pair of cargo pants, some camouflage board shorts, etc. And on the women’s side you have a graphic t-shirt, a cropped polo shirt, a full-length lace skirt, etc. I’m not really sure how many women would be down for rocking a lace skirt with a polo shirt this spring. The women’s clothes don’t look bad I just expected a little more from Rocawear.
Aside from the clothing the campaign looks great. They even managed to get a horse in their somehow. Kudos. And Puerto Rico really makes for a great backdrop. For more on Rocawear’s latest campaign visit
