I think it's safe to say that
Rihanna has a hit on her hands with her latest release, "We Found Love." At first listen
"We Found Love" reminds me a lot of Pitbull and Ne-Yo's "Give Me Everything" especially when the beat begins to pick up around the 0:22 mark. The song also has a bit of early 90's edge to it which is something that's becoming more and more popular among dance/pop songs. I think we have Lady Gaga's swagger-jacking to thank for that.
"We Found Love" is just an all out fun song and I feel like those tend to be the songs that fit Rihanna best. Save the emotional, love ballads for Beyonce. "We Found Love's" production comes courtesy of Scottish singer/producer Calvin Harris who has also worked with Kelis, Shakira, and Katy Perry. The song is the first single off of Rihanna's upcoming album.
Anyone else feel the urge to buy a pair of glow sticks and/or watch
"A Night At The Roxbury" after listening to "We Found Love?"
