Two New Rick Ross Leaks! “Maybach Music III” & “Aston Martin Music” (Listen & Download)

When it rains it pours. Just an hour after the internets was abuzz about a new "Teflon Don" leak, the lush "Aston Martin Music", another cut off Ricky Ross' upcoming life of luxury album, "Maybach Music III" quickly followed. Since Ross is a man of large appetites, it only makes sense to have way more Bawse than you can digest in one meal. Let's explore.

First up is "Aston Martin Music", a J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League produced cut that featured a bizarre rarity: the double hook. Even though Chrisette Michelle provides some great hook work, Ross brings in Drake to also croon a second, hook/bridge/lead that sounds like a "Thank Me Later" leftover. If you're going to feature Drake, why not a verse? Especially when you already have a hook? I haven't been this confused since I heard I took my SATs. There has to be some label or financial considerations driving the decision. Smoothed out, enjoyable track regardless.

I've got no such hesitations about "Mayback Music III'. Also produced by J.U.S.T.I.C.E., "Maybach Tres", as the Latino homeys call it, leads off with a hell of a T.I. guest verse, seques into a decent Jadakiss verse (not sure about the Coldstone Creamery reference) and then finishes with Ross' absolutely epic sounding outro. Plus Erykah Badu does the most unexpected hook of her career. Haters dismissed this before they heard it, but I can't front - it's one hell of a track.
